Single-channel looping video projection, excerpt.

Sleep is a single-channel video intended for projected installation. I created Sleep by setting up a video camera near my bed and letting it run as I fell asleep. The soundtrack was made by convolving sounds I could hear from my bedroom. The piece explores intimacy, sensuality and voyeurism, as well as the sense of mystery and fear that accompany the loss of consciousness and entry into the dreamworld. I first used this footage in my piece I Dream of Baby. I hope to expand this project by filming others as they sleep, and projecting the final results onto the exteriors of houses.
